Morgan Silver Rounds

The Morgan silver rounds are also produced by the Highland Mint. This private mint replicated the design of the "Morgan Silver Dollar" on these silver rounds. The Morgan silver dollar was minted between 1878 and 1904 by the United States Government. The obverse and reverse designs were done by George T. Morgan. 

 The obverse design of the Morgan silver round features a rendition of the profile of Lady Liberty’s head. Rounding the top of the obverse side are the words "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the word "Liberty" is engraved on the crown of the profile of Lady Liberty. The obverse side of the coin is engraved with "HM" mint mark for Highland Mint. 

 The reverse side of the Morgan silver round features the frontal image of an American bald eagle with it talons outstretched. The eagle is grasping the symbolic olive branch and arrows with its claws. The reverse is engraved with the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "ONE-HALF TROY OZ.,” which encircles the eagle.  The purity of the coin is engraved above the eagle: ".999 Fine Silver." 

 The 1/10 oz. Morgan silver round has a diameter of 19.2 mm and is 1.35 mm thick. It has a metal content of 0.1 troy ounces of .999 fine silver. 

 The 1/4 oz. Morgan silver round has a diameter of 26.57 mm and is 1.35 mm thick. It has a metal content of 0.25 troy ounces of .999 fine silver.

 The 1/2 oz. Morgan silver round has a diameter of 32.6 mm and is 1.79 mm thick. It has a metal content of 0.5 troy ounces of .999 pure silver.
