The obverse of the 2025 1/20 oz Gold Maple Leaf showcases a portrait of King Charles III. Created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, this left-profile effigy marks the first time a monarch other than Queen Elizabeth II appears on the series. The design depicts His Majesty without a crown.
On the reverse, the sugar maple leaf appears, continuing the design first introduced in 1979 for the original 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf. This emblem has since been applied to all fractional gold coins, as well as the Silver, Platinum, and Palladium Maple Leaf coins.
The sugar maple leaf has evolved from an essential resource for Indigenous peoples into a globally recognized symbol of Canada. Its prominence in art, heraldry, and daily life reflects its enduring cultural and historical importance, and it remains a cherished emblem of the nation and its people.
All 2025 1/20 oz Gold Maple Leaf Coins are offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, shipped either individually in protective plastic flips or in sets of 40 coins sealed in plastic sheets for bulk orders.
