The obverse of the 2025 1/2 oz Gold Eagle Coins showcases Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ iconic design, created in 1907. The full-length figure of Liberty is depicted in front-facing relief, walking forward with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The background includes a ring of stars, sunrays behind Liberty, and the U.S. Capitol.
The reverse of the 2025 American Gold Eagle displays a modern interpretation of the American bald eagle, introduced in July 2021. Designed by Jennie Norris in 2020, the left-profile relief of the eagle’s head captures fine details of its plumage and piercing gaze, marking the first design update in the coin’s history.
The American Gold Eagle series is issued annually in both Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) and Proof conditions, with four available weights. The 1/2 oz coin is the largest fractional-ounce option and debuted in the BU series in 1986 and the Proof series in 1987.
These 2025 1/2 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are offered in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins are shipped in protective flips, while multiples of 40 coins are packaged in plastic tubes.
