The 1 oz Perth Mint Cast Gold Bar comes from the Perth Mint, a mint with a tradition dating back to the 19th century and a reputation as a leader in the production of bullion coins, minted ingots, and cast gold bars. Each bar contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold and is cast using a unique square mold, giving it softly rounded edges and a slightly domed top over a flat reverse field. The bar arrives individually packaged inside a protective plastic flip and is eligible for Precious Metals IRAs. Today, 1 oz Perth Mint Cast Gold Bars are available online at ITM Trading.
Bar Highlights:
The obverse of the 1 oz Perth Mint Cast Gold Bar features the Perth Mint's logo, an elegant swan with large, swooping plumage, inscribed within a circular stamp along with the name of the mint.
The reverse of the bar also features a circular stamp bearing the mint's name, along with the weight and purity of the bar. Both the obverse and reverse fields carry incuse, or sunken, inscriptions, with certain design elements rendered in 3D relief.
The Perth Mint was founded in 1899 as the third Royal Mint branch facility in Australia and, following Australia's 1901 federation movement that led to the closure of the other branch mints, has continued operating as a state-owned mint controlled by the government of Western Australia. Its cast gold bars are produced by heating gold to its melting point and pouring it into a prefabricated mold, which in the case of this bar is a unique square mold that produces the bar's softly rounded edges, slightly domed top, and flat reverse field.
