2015 American Silver Eagles

The 1 oz American silver eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and happens to be the most popular silver bullion coin as well. There were over 42,000,000 silver eagle coins sold in 2013. In 2014 the demand is still growing strong!

A Brief History of the American Silver Eagle

The American Silver Eagle coins are produced by the US Mint and are one of the most popular bullion coin in the world. The silver coin was first issued by the United States Mint on November 24, 1986, and through to the middle of 2010, the mintage total for the silver bullion coin is over 230 million coins. This seems like a vast amount until compared to the mintages of daily circulating coins. The Silver Eagle total doesn't even rival the U.S. Mint’s production of a few weeks’ worth of pennies in some years.

Who Buys Silver Eagle Coins?

Theses coins are sought-after by investors and collectors alike for its splendor and its 1 full ounce of .999 fine silver, whose purity and silver content is backed by the U.S. Government. Since its debut in 1986 its popularity has increased dramatically, and as the demand for silver increases it is easy to see why this 2015 bullion coin can break the 2013 sales total.
