Physical Gold And It’s Physical Properties

Blog Jan 19, 2016

You may not believe in physical gold or even physical silver in the form of coins and bars as an investment, but truth be told, life as you know it today exists only because of the existence of physical gold. There are several places, many much much smaller than you can easily see or process with the naked human eye, that require the use of physical gold for it’s physical properties.

For instance, physical gold is very ductile, which means physical gold is easy to draw into wire. In fact, physical gold is so ductile (especially when compared to other conductors such as copper and aluminum) that it can be drawn into wires thinner than a human hair.

Physical gold is also very malleable, which means it can be pounded very into very thin sheets, such as gold leaf, and this same physical property is what allows just a little bit of gold to go a long way in an electrical or electronic micro-circuit. In fact, there is a whole industry and hobby element that has sprung up around retrieving the small amounts of physical gold that go into these micro-circuits and electronics that must utilize physical gold, but more about that a little later. In fact, if you are interested in how to begin recycling your own physical gold for it’s physical properties, that information is coming up soon.

There Is A Whole New Business Model Developing Around Recycling The Physical Gold And Other Parts Of Electrical Integrated Circuits That Are No Longer Wanted By Consumers. The Integrated Circuits Are Awaiting Recycling.

In addition to superior ductility and superior malleability, physical gold has two other physical properties that easily set it apart from all other conductors (with the exception of platinum) and those are it’s physical property of superior conduction of both heat and electrical current, and physical gold’s resistance to any type of rust or corrosion. In fact, because physical gold does not react with the vast majority of other elements and compounds, gold coins lost at sea for a thousand or more years have been found un-corroded and un-deteriorated.

Any lesser metal that spent a collection of centuries under leagues of salt water will simply dissolve into its surroundings, because even the slightest tendency to react with other elements or compounds will eventually lead to complete corrosion.

So, when you add up the superior physical properties of physical gold, you may begin to see why physical gold should be used in the production of electronics, but why must physical gold be used in electronic circuits? The simple answer is that the consumers demand the use of physical gold without even knowing it!

For instance, who wants to carry a heavy cell phone? Who wants a slower processor in their cell phone? Who wants a cell phone that has to be charged more often? Perhaps the single largest push for more of less, has been in the production of cellphones. If you were to use copper or aluminum in an electrical circuit rather than gold, the increase in electrical resistance would create more heat in the circuit, run the battery down faster, and result in slower performance as the circuits heat up and the conductance drops.

Below Is A YouTube Video Showing How To Disassemble A Cell Phone For Physical Gold. This Instructional Video Has Been Watched Over 500,000 Times And Is About Four Minutes Long.

Even though the price of physical gold is very high relative to other conductors, the vast superiority of the physical properties of physical gold coupled with the fact that just a little bit of physical gold goes a long way in an electronic circuit, means that production wise it is less expensive to use physical gold in production than to develop batteries with more life, or circuits made of a lesser conductors that are lighter and faster than those made of physical gold.

And even if these technologies were developed, all you would have to do is swap out the lesser conductors for physical gold and new gains would be made in battery life and processor speed. In fact, because electronics producers have been working with physical gold in their circuits and circuit designs for so long, changing production facilities to build with another conductor may be cost prohibitive. As long as the consumers want fast and light processors and electronics gear with long battery life, physical gold will be in demand for it’s physical properties.

With a clear understanding of what physical gold offers electronics and micro-circuitry, seeing how physical gold ends up in cell phones should make perfect sense. And, if you are in your forties or fifties, then you can easily hearken back to the days when the only phones were land lines, and you could not even own them, yo had to rent them from Mountain Bell.

Consumers Used To Have To Rent Each Phone From The Phone Company, And The Phone Company Didn't Care How Much The Phone Weighed Or If It Was Easy To Use. For A Long Time Telephones Were Not Available In Colors, They Were All Black.

Those phones were heavy and the had no batteries, and even if the phone did contain physical gold (I doubt it did), Mountain Bell owned it, not you. I bring this up because there are generations out there that spent their whole childhood growing up sharing the same telephone from the time they were old enough to speak until the time they moved out of the house.

Contrast this picture with current day habits where no one can even tell you how many cell phones they have owned over the years or where those phones even are today. Millions and millions of new cell phones are sold every month in the United States, much less around the world. Carrying the latest and newest cellphone (re-branded “smart phone”) is now a status symbol. Ironically wearing physical gold as jewelry for all to see used to be a status symbol, and now the demand for physical gold for it’s physical properties has moved into electrical circuits where it has become invisible and disposable.

There Was A Time That These Cell Phones Were State Of The Art Technology, Today They Are Cast Aside And Valuable Only For What Most People Don't Know They Threw Away: Physical Gold.

In addition to cellphones and smart phones, there are all kinds of places that physical gold is required simply due to it’s physical properties, and believe it or not, physical gold makes the world as you know it turn. So here comes the pitch. There is only so much physical gold, and as you can see, it is necessary.

Much of what you may be invested in for retirement is probably only notional, that is what you have invested in is not physical, but in reality stocks and shares in a 401k cannot be touched or held and they are not physically exchangeable for goods or services.

In fact, if all of the physical gold were instantly removed from all of the computers and networks and cellphones and smart phones and the Internet Infrastructure, would stocks and bonds and 401k shares simply cease to exist because they are no longer accessible? How would you even call your banking company? How would they be able to answer you? I think all of these financial instruments would actually be worthless without the physical gold powered infrastructure that allows these instruments to be created and traded in the first place.

Without The Physical Gold In The Circuits Of Our Computers And Communications Devices, There Would Be No Stocks Or Bonds To Trade, And Investing As We Know It Would Grind Top A Halt. Life As We Know It Depends On Physical Gold

Owning physical gold removes a portion of your wealth from the risks associated with investing in notional banking products. In addition, as you now have a better understanding of how physical gold is in demand for it’s unique physical properties, and how that demand is only on the rise. Being that gold is becoming more and more scarce to mine, and demand is growing, the classic laws of supply and demand will dominate.

Today physical gold is well over a thousand dollars an ounce. Back when Mountain Bell rented you the telephone you used to make your first phone calls, physical gold was thirty five dollars an ounce. ITM Trading can help you acquire physical gold, and capture the profits long-term.
