Buying American Gold Coins for Investment

Gold, It’s Simple!

Gold has been around for over 5,000 years. Gold is an established symbol of great
power and wealth that has withstood the test of time. Its history can be traced
back to 3,000 B.C., when the Egyptians linked the power of gold to the life-giving
Sun God Ra. Greek and Roman temples were often decorated with gold, as an offering
to their gods. Ancient civilizations treasured this unique metal. It has been used
in religious rituals, been reproduced in the form of religious icons, adorned royalty,
and wars have been fought to possess it. Clearly, gold has ALWAYS been coveted because
of its established value; yet, it has not always been easy to acquire!

Today, however acquiring gold is simple. when you are considering what to buy, you
won’t be overwhelmed by the number of choices. There are basically three categories:
bullion bars, coins, or rare coins.

Gold Bullion Bars and Coins

Commonly traded gold bullion bars can be counted on one hand. Commonly traded gold
bullion bars are minted and designated by their country of origin and generally
comprise less than 20 varieties. The most commonly traded U.S. rare gold coins (See
“Eight Piece Gold Set”) are enumerated below and depicted in our color brochure.

  2. $5 Liberty
  3. $10 Liberty
  4. $20 Liberty
  5. $2 Indian
  6. $5 Indian
  7. $10 Indian
  8. $20 Saint Gaudens

Rare Gold Coins

Rare gold coins come graded in a condition from 1 to 70 (see Rare Coin Grading), but
the most commonly acquired rare coins are uncirculated and range from a grade of
60 on the bottom side to 70–a perfect coin–on the top side. What could be simpler
than that? Compare this to 7,000 stocks, 7,500 mutual funds, and 7,000 hedge funds
available for selection specifically within the U.S. markets.

Again, I emphasize the simplicity of the process for purchase! It begins with your
decision as to how much money you want to invest. Next, your ITM representative
will assist you with your coin selection. Upon completion of your coin selection,
you will be connected by a conference call to ITM’s trading department. All pertinent
information–including the coins you will be acquiring, the designated name for
ownership of the coins, and the address for shipment of your purchase–will be verified
via the recorded conference call with our trading department and an invoice will
be generated. For your protection the coins will arrive registered and insured,
and someone will need to sign for them.

It’s that simple!
