Blog Mar 15, 2016

The fact that Detroit, the once great motor city, is crumbling is no surprise. The news covers it, magazines cover the demise of Detroit, and a quick Google search will return article after article and image after image detailing the crumbling of Detroit. Did you know Detroit used to be among the wealthiest cities in the United States, if not the wealthiest city in the United States? We all know Detroit made cars, but Detroit also made this nation great. The automobile industry not only revolutionized the world, but the automobile industry set American designs and engineering apart. Today there are few things that set Detroit apart from a Third World city or even a war zone. The point of these articles is to show the reader the every day clues that tell you that you should buy gold. After seeing a little bit of the drastic changes that have happened to Detroit, and what force those changes, perhaps you will see that you should buy gold.

You Should Buy Gold: GM Is Now Built In China.

Chevrolet is built in China. Ford is built in Europe and South America. Chrysler is now part of Fiat, did you know that Chrysler is now part of Fiat? Well, it is. Chrysler was essentially given to Fiat, an Italian car maker, as part of the aftermath of the 2008 market meltdowns and bank collapses. Automobiles are still produced in Detroit, but not nearly as many as once were. Americans still buy cars made in Detroit, although not nearly as many still do is there once were. These are the struggles, financial and somewhat political, that are causing Detroit to crumble into a ruin of its former glory.

A 9 Minute Video That Will Change How You See GM. You Should Buy Gold.

Detroit used to set the standard for architecture, heavy industry, and what a wealthy American city should look like. Amazing structures were erected. State-of-the-art factories were erected. Jobs that paid the average man well, and the above average man well above average, seemed to be in steady supply.

Union jobs paid top hourly wages and guaranteed the rights and were supposed to guarantee the futures of the hard-working Americans that built Detroit, and the automobiles that Detroit was famous for worldwide. I’m sure to many who lived in Detroit, time seemed like they would always be good. Today the times in Detroit and the state of Detroit is telling you that you should buy gold.

Legislation was passed in checks were written that were supposed to help shore up our automobile manufacturers, and hopefully therefore help stabilize the city of Detroit, which was rocked a few years ago during the market crash. Perhaps rather than use the newfound funds and wealth to revitalize Detroit, companies like Chevrolet used the money to build a plant in China.

You Read That Right. GM Shanghai. If You Can Read The Rest Of The Sign, Chances Are You Are Not From Detroit.

I don’t think that helped out the residents of Detroit. See what I mean? Sometimes taxpayer money that should be used in an effort that would eventually help the taxpayer, it shipped over to China potentially along with that taxpayers job. While we like to think that business decisions and political decisions are made in our best interest as a taxpayer if not an individual, that is always not exactly the case. It is little nuggets of truth like these gleaned from the crumbling of Detroit that are telling you that you should buy gold. Don’t leave your wealth and your retirement plans to politicians and business leaders that are not interested in your welfare.

You Should Buy Gold: Workers Paid Not To Work.

I have read reports that say that auto workers in Detroit show up every day to sit in cafeterias and break rooms while they do puzzles and watch TV, and are paid to do so, because if they were to build cars, the cars would either go unsold, or the financial resources needed to build the cars in the first place are not available. That was awhile ago. Recently I heard similar things about the Chevy Volt.

So, if the best that American corporations and the politicians that they keep in their pockets can do to revive a once thriving city like Detroit, is to pay people $40 an hour to do crossword puzzles, then perhaps you should take the situation into your own hands and you should buy gold.

I want Detroit to be great again. Maybe we don’t need giant Gothic train stations, but we do need modern industry, and we do need American automobiles, and we do need American jobs here in America.
